Photos of Me Taken By My Very Talented Husband

I'm the writer and my husband, Brandon, has got quite the eye for photography. I'm currently trying to convince him to start freelancing; as I am doing with writing. So instead of just self promoting, I'm going to cross-promote the very artistic Clark family! So these are just a few warm up shots taken at a park near our house.

P.S. The water was FREEZING!!!

I hope you like and as usual... Love to all my readers <3

My Head Hurts! (Welcome to my new blog!)

I had an epiphany recently. Some of you may see my realization as tragically obvious, however I had never thought of things this way before. The title of this blog arose as a result of the notion that we are all little mice trying to navigate our way through the maze that is our lives. Sometimes the navigation goes smoothly; we make the right turns at the right times and all is well. And then there are those times that you keep bumping your head into wall after wall after wall. So there we are, all bruised and dazed, and what do we do? We bump our damn head against another wall. Some of us keep bumping up against the same wall, not realizing that a slight course adjustment will lead to a desired destination. Then there are others who's mazes might be more complex and they just have more walls for us to hit our heads on before we reach our ultimate "finish line". I like to think I'm part of the latter group of feisty little mice.

I've been hitting my head a lot lately. It seems as though the more I come upon dead ends, the more dazed and confused I get, which ultimately makes it increasingly difficult for me to find my way. I've smacked so hard into walls that even if someone told me that I had to make a left, walk forward 100 feet and then make a right; I couldn't tell you if I was right side up, let alone which direction left is.

So I want to make this blog a process. Stories and musings from just another mouse trying to navigate the maze of life. Maybe some stories will help some of my fellow mice. I know a lot of them will make your laugh. I can't help but laugh at myself sometimes when I feel bruised and broken and yet, alas, I run face first into another f-ing wall!

Maybe I'll get lucky and receive some feedback from someone who has been where I have been in the maze and can lead me through it. Either way my hope is that this blog is fun, witty, cathartic, profound and all those other adjectives that every writer on the planet hopes can be applied to their work!

Love to all my readers!! <3
